Meet Our Staff

Christopher A. Moore, R.N., E-RYT 500, founder and director of the Raleigh Yoga Center, conducts classes from a background in Western and Eastern approaches to health science. A registered nurse, he has been a health care professional since 1965, a Yoga student since 1975, and a teacher since 1984. His teacher training included study with Ruth Bender in 1978 and at the Yoga Institute of Miami in 1985. He has attended many classes and intensives with and been strongly influenced in style by B.K.S. Iyengar and many of his senior teachers. Lately he has been studying and become very intrigued with the Anusara style and loves sharing from this viewpoint. His gentle but firm approach will aid you in developing a balance of strength and flexibility, improved health and posture, and increased self awareness.
